In this role, you will be responsible for high quality day-to-day financial accounting, tax, treasury, and control activities of the FE fundinfo (Switzerland) AG. You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller, who is based in London, UK. As part of the Group Financial Planning & Analysis Team, you will be providing insight and input into the results/estimate/budget for the specific offices/regions. Further, you will be taking responsibility for finance-related projects.

What You Will Do

  • Be accountable for all compliant bookkeeping (routine, complex and judgmental) and statutory and regulatory reporting (FINMA) and legal entity stewardship for all locations
  • Review of complex statutory accounts including group consolidation
  • Be responsible for the integrity of the group financial reporting and recording in the ledger
  • Perform assessment of judgmental accounting issues and disclosures
  • Act as key point of contact with external auditors and internal stakeholders (including tax, companies’ office, regulatory and statistical)
  • As part of the global finance team oversee project work and change management processes, e.g. legal entity restructuring, global system implementation and changes, process improvement projects, risk management issues
  • Serve as subject matter expert for regional financial accounting matters
  • Serve as local treasury/cash representative including ownership of loan relationships, assessment and supporting the coordination of repatriation planning and working capital funding with the Group function
  • Perform payroll activities
  • Be responsible for the local oversight of expense processing and outsourced accounting activities

Your Qualifications

  • Strong technical accounting skills, thorough knowledge of local GAAP is essential
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Ability to manage in a matrix structure; in particular to deliver results from “dotted” line management
  • Experience of remote management.
  • Strong “upwards” management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as high capacity for teamwork, also on a virtual basis across multi-office environments
  • Fluent in German and English (C1), both spoken and written
  • Ability to understand all global cultures and amend behaviour appropriately
